Fireman's Ball Costume Party!!!

Horseshoe Tournament Results

1st Place: Cover That Turd.  They won $200, 2 gift cards to Pane e Vino
Restaraunt, and a whole box of their favorite flavor of Slim Jim. They chose
to take part of their winnings and join the GFVFD.

2nd Place: Soggy Bottom Boys (Sam and JD, both members of the GFVFD).  They
won $120 and 2 gift cards to Pane e Vino.

3rd Place: Preskitt Boys.  They won $80 and two gift cards to Pane e Vino. 

New Horseshoe Tournament!!!!

Uh-oh.  It's that time again.  Time to prove yourself in the arena of horseshoe throwing, where true gladiators are either forged or broken!  Valiant are it's athletes, un-sober as they may be.  Strong are the arms that do the pitching, muscles swollen from years of doing 12oz curls.  Long are the naps that immediately seize us after a day of fun in the sun.  Sore and bruised are our shoulders (egos) after thinking we are in the shape we were in in our twenties so a day of horseshoe throwing shouldn't hurt.  Do You Have What It Takes?  Enough!  Here are the details.

September 20th-21st...with the finals being held on September  27th.

Golf Tourney

Hi everybody!   Sorry this took so long, but here are some photos from the golf tournament.  We raised three thousand dollars and had a blast doing it.  Our charity will really make a difference in the lives of people who really need it.  Thanks a lot everyone!

2008 Golf Tourney

Hi all!  Come join us for a fun filled day on the brand new Vista Verde Golf Course.  We set up this fun day in the sun as a benefit for the 100 Club of Phoenix, which helps out the families of seriously injured or killed men and women of service.  It's a great foundation that really makes a difference.  After the golf we are all going to get together for a nice lunch at Reata Pass.  For any questions please call Joe Laux at 480-515-9086.

Volunteer Firefighter Rubs Elbows With D-Back's Ace

In what surely amounts to the best day of his life, Greasewood bartender and GFVFD member Patrick had the chance to wrap his arm around Brandon Webb, spill draft beer on him, and get this picture.  Patrick repeatedly stated that him and Mr. Webb share the same birthday, while Mr. Webb only looked blankly ahead, eyes glazed over.  Just kidding.  Congrats Pat!
